Our sweet boy Ion turned 2 ... almost a month ago. We went to Incredible Pizza for a joint party with his cousin Dax, whose birthday is only a couple of days before. Turns out, Incredible Pizza is a fantastic place for a party with older kids, but it's a little bit loud and sensory overload-ish for smaller kids. We had a good time, and I'm just not posting the pictures of the kids in their inevitable meltdowns.
Helping himself to some cake
Uncle Erik helped him blow out his candles.
And he got help from Heidi and Ava opening presents.
This picture was meant to focus on the presents but instead I got a better picture than has probably ever been taken of that particular cart shelf.
Rori wasn't quite sure what she thought but she enjoyed the cake.
And here Rori and Ion are pretending that she's his dog.
There were lots of fun games.
And there was chaos.
We waited ...
...and waited ...
... for Heidi's and Daddy's turn to ride the go-carts. (It was the only big activity she was tall enough for.)
We went to OKC to play at Mammaw and Granddad's.
And we came home to play with birthday presents.
By the way, MegaBloks are the best. They don't turn into scorpion/flaming coal/ballistic missiles for your bare feet when the lights are off. I really don't know why Lego is still making the little ones.
